30 Screams or Less 172: Mr. Creamjeans’ Hidey Hole

In this episode of 30 Screams or Less, we review Mr. Creamjeans’ Hidey Hole, a completely unhinged indie horror anthology packed with gross-out comedy, practical gore, bizarre sex jokes, and some of the strangest horror stories we’ve seen in a long time.

Directed by Heath Benfield, Mr. Creamjeans’ Hidey Hole takes viewers inside a seedy underground museum where each exhibit leads to another twisted tale. We get into the movie’s Tales from the Crypt and Troma-style energy, the absurd practical effects, the Snail Trail Killer, Pappy’s Old Stiffy, exploding heads, wormholes, and why the movie’s short 70-minute runtime works so well.

We also talk about the surprisingly strong sound design, the commitment to its campy B-movie tone, and why we think this concept could easily work as an ongoing horror anthology series.

Somehow, despite everything happening on screen, we both walked away giving it a 5 out of 5.

If you love indie horror, horror anthologies, practical effects, campy B-movies, Troma, Tales from the Crypt, and completely over-the-top horror comedy, this one is absolutely worth checking out.
